Construction Manager – Large-Scale Data Center Project

Do you want to lead one of Sweden's most exciting and technically advanced construction projects?

We are now looking for an experienced Construction Manager who wants to take a key role in the development of a large-scale data center. In this assignment, you will represent the client and lead the execution of extensive civil and electrical works in close collaboration with the project's key stakeholders.

This is an assignment for you who thrive in complex environments, want to work closely with the business, and are motivated by creating structure, quality, and progress in large technical projects.

About the role

As a Construction Manager, you have overall responsibility for the construction phase and ensure that the project is executed according to schedule, budget, quality requirements, and applicable legislation. You act as the hub between the client, contractors, and other project functions and are a crucial force in identifying and solving technical, commercial, and time-related challenges.

Your main responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the construction team to ensure efficient and correct execution

• Ensure high standards in quality, work environment, safety, time, and cost

• Follow up on contractors' work and ensure compliance with contracts and regulations

• Collaborate with logistics and technical teams during installation and construction of equipment

• Actively work with risk management and propose corrective actions in case of deviations

• Manage technical documentation, reporting, and follow-up of progress

• Lead construction and contract meetings and follow up on decisions and actions

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with a strong technical background, is confident in a leadership role, and has experience working in international and multidisciplinary project environments.

We expect you to have:

• An engineering degree or equivalent technical education

• At least 10 years of experience in construction management within e.g. data centers, energy, industry, or pharmaceuticals

• Documented experience with large and complex projects as well as EPC/PMC/EPCM contracts

• Good competence in quality control, risk management, cost, and contract management

• Strong commercial understanding and ability to make decisions under pressure

• Experience leading and collaborating with multicultural teams

• Very good English in speaking and writing (Swedish is not a requirement)

• Willingness and ability to work on-site in Gävle, 5 days a week
